Nashville Ranks One of the Most Popular Tourist Destinations in the US – Why?

According to a study that Family Destination Guide conducted, Nashville ranks number 6 on the most popular tourist destinations in the US. We agree with the findings – just a month ago, we visited the city for several days, and the experience was amazing. Here are the reasons proving why the city deserves that ranking spot:

1.      Southern Cuisine and Hospitality

The welcoming and warm nature of the residents, combined with southern hospitality, creates an inviting and comforting environment for tourists like us. The friendly locals embrace tourists wholeheartedly, making their experience and stay in the city memorable. Also, at Bellevue Place, the culinary scene is on another level. It includes a variety of innovative culinary delights and traditional southern dishes. From trendy eateries to barbecue and hot chicken, it caters to diverse tastes to guests who travel to Nashville.

2.      Live Music

It doesn’t really matter which part of the visit you visit – there will always be somewhere you can enjoy live music. From unpopular venues to famous ones, like the Ryman Auditorium, being in the city gives you an opportunity to catch national, regional, and local musicians on stage. Plus, performers not only play country music but also blues, pop, and rock.

3.      Celebrity Sightings

Most celebrities and musicians live in Nashville because of its privacy and peacefulness nature. Examples of celebrities living there include Taylor Swift, Carried Underwood, and Sheryl Crow, to name a few. You will see these VIPs running errands, dining at restaurants, blending perfectly with other residents, and shopping in a mall.

4.      The People

Some of us grew up with a stereotype that Southerners are extra nice and have a charm, right? But after visiting the city for several times, I’ve realized that it’s actually true. Almost everyone you interact with are helpful and kind. Not to mention, security guards all over are super friendly. During our visit to Parthenon, a certain security guard recommend us the best parts of the exhibits and recommended other places we can check out.

5.      Outdoor Activities

Nashville has many outdoor activities for everyone looking to enjoy outdoors. Most of the beautiful parks in the city, including Percy Warner Park and Centennial Park, are excellent for strolling, hikes, or picnics. Moreover, the area’s lakes and rivers provide some recreational opportunities, like boating and fishing. You will also find relaxing bike rides and guided kayaking tours along several greenways.

6.      Cultural Landmarks

Popular music venues, art galleries, historical sites, and museums, all contribute to the city’s charm. Nashville’s diversity goes beyond the cultural backgrounds of residents and extends to all spots that attract visitors and tourists from different parts of the world. Places, such as Tennessee State Museum and Country Music Hall of Fame & Music, are perfect examples of landmarks that curious visitors visit frequently.

Now that you already know the reasons the city ranks one of the most popular tourist spots in the country, you have no excuse to plan for a visit. Whether you want to visit cultural landmarks or enjoy outdoor activities like kayaking and boating, visit Nashville and you won’t regret it.
