Why the Sunseeker 131 remains highly sought after

First introduced in 2016, the Sunseeker 131 is the flagship model of the British shipyard’s superyacht range. Built from GRP, this tri-deck superyacht remains incredibly popular to this day—for several good reasons. With her timeless exterior styling, expansive interior spaces, and exceptional performance capabilities, Sunseeker’s ongoing commitment to delivering excellence is evident in all aspects of her design. Here, we take a closer look at why the Sunseeker 131 is still so highly sought after.

Expansive Main Salon with Panoramic Views

Measuring 40.05 meters in length with a beam of 8.09 meters and a draft of 2.85 meters, the Sunseeker 131 offers a substantial interior volume of 348 GT spread across three decks. With plenty of space for both relaxation and entertainment, one of the key features of the Sunseeker 131 is her expansive main deck. Designed to maximize natural light and provide uninterrupted sea views, floor-to-ceiling windows line both sides of the main salon, creating a bright and airy space that connects to the surroundings via glass sliding doors at the end. The area serves as the primary socializing space, featuring a spacious lounge and a formal dining area, both thoughtfully arranged to accommodate up to twelve guests in full luxury comfort.

Generous Exterior Spaces for Alfresco Living

Next to the large interior spaces, the Sunseeker 131 also offers ample exterior spaces, catering to owners and guests alike who appreciate outdoor living on the open waters. The aft section of the main deck offers direct access to a large beach club, creating an ideal setting for sunbathing or enjoying water activities. The upper deck features a stylish sky lounge that opens onto an aft deck equipped for alfresco dining, complete with a cocktail bar. In addition, the sun deck is also dedicated to relaxation and entertainment, featuring a forward-facing jacuzzi, a bar, and plenty of seating areas, making it perfect for socializing or unwinding while taking in panoramic ocean vistas while cruising.

Luxurious Accommodations, plus Charter Appeal

The Sunseeker 131 is able to accommodate up to twelve guests across five ensuite staterooms, enhancing her appeal for charter as well as private use. The master suite, located forward on the main deck, benefits from expansive windows that offer beautiful views while providing tons of natural light. Four additional guest staterooms are situated on the lower deck, each with ensuite facilities and two with the option to include Pullman berths. With crew quarters for a crew of up to nine, the Sunseeker 131 has a leading guest-to-crew ratio, ensuring a high standard of service. Her spacious layout, with plenty of exterior spaces and amenities, also makes the Sunseeker 131 highly attractive for charter opportunities, contributing positively to its resale value.

Powered by twin MTU 12V 4000 M93 diesel engines, the Sunseeker 131 has a top speed of 23 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots, with a range of up to 1,500 nautical miles at economical speeds, delivering a strong performance wherever she cruises.
