Picking up relatively smoothly from where the Pershing 62 left off, the Pershing 6X truly embodies the yard’s predatory spirit. Part of its Generation X range of sleek, bold, and silver (she is available in other colors) high-performance sports yachts. Built for speed with a taut, agile exterior design, the Pershing 6X debuted during the Cannes Yachting Festival 2021. The result of a collaboration between Pershing’s parent company, Ferretti Group’s Product Strategy Committee overseen by Piero Ferrari, the design firm headed by Fulvio De Simoni, and the Group’s engineering department, she retains the same styling as other Generation X models. Measuring 18.9 meters in length and 4.8 meters in width, she brings together the Group’s most advanced technologies into a distinctive compact yacht.
Her sharp aerodynamic profile is complemented by the glazed surfaces and more oversized, reformed hull windows illuminating the lower spaces with natural light. In line with Pershing’s approach to design over the past few years, the new styling enhances and improves functionality on board, as well as streamlining her design. Another innovation sees the Pershing’s 6X side wings integrated into the superstructure to offer even further comfort while cruising, next to the revamped styling of the large aft sun pad and the carbon and teak table in the cockpit dining area. The helm station has also been improved with the addition of a dashboard with two 19-inch monitors, carbon fiber control panels, and an electro-hydraulic steering system. At the same time, the salon features new plush seating, such as a chaise longue with a reclining backrest. A large sunroof situated over the helm station can be opened to fully enjoy the surroundings while cruising as well. The salon itself is characterized by front openable windows and the sliding glass sunroof, while larger rectangular portholes allow more air and light into the lower deck.
Available in two stunning layout options, both see the galley by the port side’s walkway. Her three cabin layout version places the owner’s ensuite cabin amidships, a VIP ensuite cabin forward, and a twin-berth guest stateroom starboard with access to the day head. Another version for the US market includes two cabins, the owner’s cabin, and VIP, and a living space rather than an additional guest cabin. The crew cabin is accessible from the main deck aft, with a single bed and ensuite. Powered by twin MAN V12 1550 hp engines, the Pershing 6X has an incredible top speed of 48 knots, ensuring she can effortlessly slice through the sea.
